This sounds absolutely delicious!
Instead of making my usual crock pot chili, I am going to make this instead. I'm going grocery shopping this afternoon, and I'm getting what I need to make this.
YUMMY!!!!

If I ate meat...I might just make this! (Though I am not a Baked Beans eater, either.....Well, I guess this would be perfect for someone else...LOL)

My sister has Solar Panels on her roof and I understand she just got a Generator....So, the Solar Panels aren't enough. If money were no object there are a lot of things I would do....But....well....For now, I would like to get the DWP to look into why we keep having these outages....!

Thanks Lucy...I wiill look into that....The only Gas I have in my house is to the heat.....But if it could be tied into that, it would solve some problems for me, for sure....
I think the biggest problem here on this hill is, everything is very very old. It is all underground...BUT, it was put in, in the late 20's....AND, it needs upgrading.....! It may take the 459 homes up here to make it happen...! Meanwhile....A generator may be the only answer, for the present.

I made this, and we had it for dinner last night.
It was yummy, but we ALL had gas and made quick trips to the toilet later that evening. I think we overdid it on eating too many beans!!! I doubled the recipe, and each of us had an extra bowl after dinner.
It's that extra bowl that got us.

:-)

The pineapple adds a really nice taste to it.

I once had a recipe like this but made with big chunks of ham and it was really tasty. This recipe sounds like one I have for Calico Beans which is a family favorite around here.
