I try not to write too much about politics but this needed to be said.... If you enjoy your freedoms, in this country, you need to see just what will happen if Obama's universal health care plan passes in Congress.... I got this from a friend of mine, Lisa Pippin, and thought it needed to be passed on.

Here are some highlights of the healthcare bill; the more you read, the better it gets. There is a link at the end to the actual bill for those who want to read all 1,000 pages.

The following isn't freedom, just another rapid expansion of government.
Pg 22 of the HC Bill MANDATES the Government will audit books of ALL EMPLOYERS that self insure!!
Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill - THERE WILL BE A GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill - YOUR HEALTHCARE IS RATIONED!!!
Pg 42 of HC Bill - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. You have no choice!
PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill - HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Pg 58HC Bill - Government will have real-time access to individual's finances and a National ID Healthcard will be issued!
Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Government will have direct access to your banks accounts for election funds transfer.
PG 65 Sec 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions and community organizations (ACORN).
Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Government is creating an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Government control.
PG 84 Sec 203 HC bill - Government mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the Exchange.
PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill - Specs for of Benefit Levels for Plans = The Government will ration your Healthcare!
PG 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill - Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example - Translation for illegal aliens.
Pg 95 HC Bill Lines 8-18 The Government will use groups i.e., ACORN and Americorps to sign up individuals for Government HC plan.
PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill - Specs of Benefit Levels for Plans. #AARP members - your Health care WILL be rationed.
-PG 102 Lines 12-18 HC Bill - Medicaid Eligible Individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice.
pg 124 lines 24-25 HC No company can sue GOVERNMENT on price fixing. No "judicial review" against Government monopoly.
pg 127 Lines 1-16 HC Bill - Doctors/ #AMA - The Government will tell YOU what you can make.
Pg 145 Line 15-17 An Employer MUST auto enroll employees into public option plan. NO CHOICE.
Pg 126 Lines 22-25 Employers MUST pay for HC for part time employees AND their families.
Pg 149 Lines 16-24 ANY Employer with payroll 400k and above who does not provide public option pays 8% tax on all payroll.
pg 150 Lines 9-13 Businesses with payroll between 251k and 400k who don't provide public option pay 2-6% tax on all payroll.
Pg 167 Lines 18-23 ANY individual who doesn't have acceptable HC according to Government will be taxed 2.5% of income.
Pg 170 Lines 1-3 HC Bill Any NONRESIDENT Alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay)
Pg 195 HC Bill -officers and employees of HC Admin (GOVERNMENT) will have access to ALL Americans finance/personal records
PG 203 Line 14-15 HC - "The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax" Yes, it says that.
Pg 239 Line 14-24 HC Bill Government will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income, poor affected. [They will include "End of Life Counseling" instead.]
Pg 241 Line 6-8 HC Bill - Doctors, doesn't matter what specialty you have, you'll all be paid the same.
PG 253 Line 10-18 Government sets value of Dr's time, proof, judgment etc. Literally value of humans.
PG 265 Sec 1131Government mandates and controls productivity for private HC industries.
PG 268 Sec 1141 Fed Government regulates rental and purchase of power driven
wheelchairs.
PG 272 SEC. 1145. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN CANCER HOSPITALS - Cancer patients - welcome to rationing!
Page 280 Sec 1151 The Government will penalize hospitals for what Government deems preventable readmissions.
Pg 298 Lines 9-11 Drs, treat a patient during initial admission that results in a readmission Government will penalize you.
Pg 317 L 13-20 OMG!! PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. Government tells Drs. what/how much they can own.
Pg 317-318 lines 21-25,1-3 PROHIBITION on expansion- Government is mandating
hospitals cannot expand
pg 321 2-13 Hospitals have opportunity to apply for exception BUT community input required. Can you say ACORN?!!
Pg335 L 16-25 Pg 336-339 - Government mandates establishment of outcome based measures. HC the way they want. Rationing.
Pg 341 Lines 3-9 Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Adv Plans, HMOs, etc. Forcing people into Government plan
Pg 354 Sec 1177 - Government will RESTRICT enrollment of Special needs people!
Pg 379 Sec 1191 Government creates more bureaucracy - Telehealth Advisory Committee. Can you say HC by phone?
PG 425 Lines 4-12 Government mandates Advance Care Planning Consult. Think Senior Citizens end of life
Pg 425 Lines 17-19 Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney. Mandatory!
PG 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.
PG 427 Lines 15-24 Government mandates program for orders for end of life. The Government has a say in how your life ends.
Pg 429 Lines 1-9 An "advance care planning consult" will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.
PG 429 Lines 10-12 "advance care consultation" may include an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from GOVERNMENT.
Pg 429 Lines 13-25 - The Government will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.
PG 430 Lines 11-15 The Government will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life.
Pg 469 - Community Based Home Medical Services=Non profit organizations. Hello, ACORN Medical Services here!!?
Page 472 Lines 14-17 PAYMENT TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. One monthly payment to a community-based org. Like ACORN?
PG 489 Sec 1308 The Government will cover Marriage and Family therapy. Which means they will insert Government into your marriage.
Pg 494-498 Government will cover Mental Health Services including defining, creating, rationing those services

Hi Lucy -- they already do most of that when you are in a nursing home and need medicade to pay when you have used all your money.
Not a big deal, it protects the government from people hiding their resources and getting medical aid FREE off the rest of us TAXPAYERS.

Lucy, I wouldn't mind so much the state (Alaska) hunting the wolves for food, or even sport. Of course the Indians and Eskimos there can hunt fairly freely.
Rather, they are dumping by airplane a slow acting poison which kills them in a few days.
They make no attempt to clean up the dead wolves, I am afraid that the food chain that eats them will then die or get very serious stomach injuries.
Like our Adi when she had HGE. Only she didn't die, we took her to the emergency animal clinic where they kept her a day plus.
We have a big wild hog problem in East Texas. Right now the farmers are shooting them but they can't keep up. The farmers are NOT using poison as the domestic animals would eat that as well. So East Texas is about to be overrun by wild hogs.
I don't think we should we dump this vile slow acting poison in mass by plane over there, do you?

Who wants to read something really important, something that will destroy individual liberties in such a way as to make America look like we joined the EU? NO, just keep it simple, tell us about how Michael Jackson's doctor drugged him and we will all be happy.
Jim, Here in the Houston area we have a huge park that has been overrun by wild hogs. A group of local hunters had offered to keep their numbers in check; but they were told no. Now the hogs are so numerous as to be a threat to farmers because they have to eat so much. We are talking thousands of hungry critters and the city and county government refuses to let anyone help control them.

Lucy, the whole thing is scarrier than heck, and what is even worse, there is not a thing we can do to stop it. Nothing!

Renie, we call our senators and representatives and we let them know that if they vote for it that we will vote them out the next time they come up for election....Ask them if they are willing to take the cover for themselves and follow the same rules as an average citizen.. I say the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
As bad as the current health care system is, the proposed nationalized HC bill is monumentally worse! I hope and pray it never passes.
Diane, we have to do more than pray, we have to open our mouths and tell everyone what this bill is about and then call, write, email, fax our representatives and senators and tell them to NOT vote on this bill or anything near it.
I have one question regarding government run health care. What new, young rising stars will be going into the medical profession? I'm guessing NONE. At least we won't have to worry about paying doctors or regulating doctors because we won't have any qualified doctors.
I got a call from a person in Canada and he said if we really knew what socialized medicine was like there would be revolts in the streets.

Goodness no, I don't want to read the whole bill. My problem with the present bills circulating in Congress is that they would do nothing to hold down the cost of healthcare. All they represent is a new entitlement program that will cause the costs related to health care to skyrocket, with taxes not far behind.
Thanks so much for posting this. I just copied it and will put it in a Word document. My daughter is currently reading the bill. She has never been into politics... that is until she saw Glenn Beck's TV show. Now, she says to me every day... did you record Glenn Beck?? Let's watch it!
I am going to give her this list so she can look these up, and I will too.
I've been emailing, calling, and writing letters to my senators and my representative Mike Ross. I hope they listen to us!
Thanks Lucy for posting this. I have been following the HC bill debate rather intensely the past couple of weeks and still was not aware of many of the things listed in your post.
Did you know that the White House has asked Americans who support Obama and the bill to more or less snitch on their fellow Americans who have voiced their discontent with the HC bill and perhaps have propagated what the White House considers "disinformation" about the bill and Obama's true intentions?
Here is a link to the White House blog where the following request is made: "There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov. "
This request might be pure innocence and not meant to quell free speech and shut people up, but it sure seems "fishy" to me.

Putz - It is not well worth the money they want to spend..... They will drag health care down to the lowest lever for everyone....denying care to some of the ones who need it the most.... People with incurable diseases and altheimers....... What has happened to a respect for life. Putz, download the bill off of the government website and read it for yourself...
